Danielle was born and raised in Panama City, Florida where she currently resides. Her interest in yoga sprouted in college at the University of West Florida upon graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Prior to university, Danielle had injured her knee playing soccer and was coping with the fact that her ability to participate in high intensity sports and activities in the future were limited. She turned to yoga, started taking classes at her university’s gym, and that’s where she found her passion and interest in yoga. With consistency and discipline, Danielle overcame the restrictions of her knee with yoga and has since kept yoga a part of her life.
In her early practice with yoga, she briefly studied Hatha and afterwards received her 200-hour registered yoga training (RYT) certification under Yoga Alliance with E-RYT-500 Jamie Parker in Vinyasa Flow at Otium Studios 30A. Her passion and interest in yoga has since inspired her to explore teachings under Prudence Bruns and continued education to teach Yoga for Athletes with Sage Rountree, America’s leading expert on yoga for athletes at Carrboro Yoga Company in North Carolina. Danielle continues to grow in her captivation for yoga and loves sharing her knowledge with fellow yogis as well as be an inspiration for others. Her witty sense of humor and positive energy welcomes anyone to easily adapt and feel comfortable in a yoga class. Danielle currently teaches a variety of yoga classes at Otium Studios 30A, mainly focusing on power and restorative techniques. In addition, she specializes in teaching yoga for athletes at her local CrossFit gym, Mirror Image Athletics.
